A grown up woman should never fall so easily…*

Ok, it’s been a while since my last post. That’s because this happened:

Sweet tender niece merely hours old.

See, I was all set to head to Mr and Mrs K’s for a day or two of tile work, electrical and plumbing finishing touches when my sister-in-law went into labor. Needless to say, nothing much mattered after that. Well, all except for her, her husband, and their new daughter (who is perfect, healthy and quite precious – and of course I’m not at all biased). So I missed those bits at the clients’ house. Don’t worry, though, I still have one more visit on the horizon – pictures will be coming.

But, I also missed nearly a week of chimney tearing down and rebuilding, and exterior painting at my own house. Routine maintenance, necessary before winter hits (we’ve been having chunks of chimney sprinkling down on us during stormy weather), but still, we’ve had giant machines, burly and handsome dudes dangling from heart stopping heights, stone and paint, all merely a click of the camera away from me. Well, if I had been here. But I wasn’t. Did I mention that this happened?

Tiny baby feet edge out, but only just, tiny baby shoes.

And, while I was gone, all work at the new condo paused. But during the two weekends before the baby came, my brother, little sister, older sister’s boyfriend, Jeff and I cracked the whip on ourselves and tore out all the carpet, removed all the wallpaper, did some painting, baseboard removal and just generally tore that place up. While I have some catching up to do over there (deadlines, people!), we managed to get soooo much done that we were ahead to begin with. So I’m good-ish.

Anyway, pictures of the adventures that happened while we met our niece, and fell instantly in love with this tiny, soft, fuzzy, snuggly, cupid’s mouth having, sleep-ridden baby girl. Enjoy! xoxo
